Gijang and Osiria — Chosen on the Assumption You Will Not Go Out

Looking for a Busan hotel, Gijang keeps appearing. Lower prices, larger rooms, the sea from the window — and no obvious reason why it undercuts Haeundae.

The Agoda data shows the reason plainly: for all three properties below, Haeundae Beach does not appear in the nearby listings at all. What appears instead is Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Osiria Station and Songjeong Beach.

Different anchors entirely

Gimhae Airport is around 25km. The Haeundae hotels sit near 19km, so this is more than 6km further, with the travel time to match.

And none of the three has a street to walk out into. That is the premise here, not a flaw — guests write it plainly: “recommended for people with their own car”, and “given where it is, everything has to happen at the hotel, so come for a resort stay.”

So the criterion moves indoors.

To fill a day on the property

Ananti at Busan Cove. Its facilities dominate this district.

• Four pools across the Cove and Villas de, used without a session limit and included by headcount; one guest counts eight pools in total
• An outdoor pool facing the sea and an indoor pool with hot springs and sauna, described separately
• The coastal path — one of the most-repeated things in its reviews
• A bookshop, a 25-hour market, a ground-floor bakery and the Damoim buffet
• A gym split across cardio and training floors

Confirmed facilities: pool, sauna, gym, bar, lounge and restaurant. Rooms are graded Cabin B, S, U and X, with ocean view or forest view stated in the type name.

The cost is the building — reception is on the 10th floor, making check-in and check-out long journeys, and evening dining choice is limited. No bidet, and slow shower drainage, each appear as room-level complaints.

To split bedrooms

MATIE Osiria. Guests repeatedly describe two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room, and one family of four chose it specifically to share a single unit. Those layouts sit in the Matie Ocean View Suite category.

The building is newer, per several reviews, and parking is free and described as spacious. It is the shortest of the three to the temple, the station and the beach, which is why its location score of 8.9 leads the district. The outlets are walkable; Lotte World and IKEA are a short drive.

The pool is small. Guests describe using it at no extra charge, then call it “not that big” and “a little small, though enough for the children”. No table in the room and no slippers or amenity set also appear.

To get a sea view whatever room you are given

Best Louis Hamilton Ocean Terrace. Its four verified types — Deluxe Ocean, Executive Ocean View Double, Family Twin Ocean View and a Premier Suite with jacuzzi — all carry an ocean label.

Guests confirm it: “whichever room you stay in, it is an ocean view.” At the other two the label splits between ocean and forest, or attaches only to the suite. Here there is nothing to choose.

In-room jacuzzis and hinoki tubs recur, as does free use of a rooftop infinity pool.

But no facility tags are confirmed at all. The pool comes from guest reports, so check the terms when booking. And one guest on the 13th floor reports the 14th-floor rooftop pool being clearly audible, opening at 7am and waking them early — worth knowing if you plan to ask for a high floor.

All three of its distances are the longest here, and its 8.3 overall is the lowest.

True of all three

• A car is assumed. All three draw comments about having nowhere to walk for dinner
• Only a convenience store and a handful of restaurants nearby, repeatedly. One guest describes collecting a delivery in the lobby
• Parking is generally easy — a real difference from inside the Haeundae streets
• None of the three states a child policy. Enter ages and occupancy to compare totals
• Lotte World, IKEA, the outlets and Haedong Yonggungsa all come up as short drives

When Gijang and Osiria is the wrong base

• For a subway-based Busan trip, this is the wrong district — Ramada Encore in Haeundae Beach stays is 80m from the station
• If the beach must be at the door, Haeundae runs 50m to 170m
• For the Gwangan Bridge at night, Gwangalli Beach stays puts four properties within 100m of each other
• For shopping and interchange, Seomyeon stays
