The number worth noticing here is not the beach but the station. Geumnyeonsan is 350m and Gwangan 1km, against the 600 to 700m more typical of hotels along this beachfront. Geumnyeonsan is on subway line 2.

The address is one lane back from the seafront road. One review says that made it awkward to find on arrival and paid off afterwards, because nothing then stands between the building and the bridge. The same review describes restaurants and cafés running along the main road, which is how dinner works here: the facility data lists a bar and lounge and no restaurant, so eating is something you go out for.

The caveat is that the nearest convenience store is as far as the station. On-site parking is listed as free, alongside luggage storage and daily housekeeping — one review mentions the room being made up right after they went out, outside the usual slot, while another says it was not spotless on arrival. The facility that reviews mention most often is the roof, which is doing the work a lounge or a pool does elsewhere.

The caveat is soundproofing. Reviews repeatedly report conversation in the corridor, talking and music through the wall, and being woken by the alarm in the next room. Ventilation is the second condition: one review describes a bathroom whose damp never cleared because the window did not open, and wood trim in the room that had rotted. Ask whether the type you are booking has a window that opens.
