The cost is distance to the subway. Gwangan Station is 670m and Geumnyeonsan 860m — a flat walk along the beach in good weather, less pleasant with luggage. Gimhae Airport is 15.82km. Millak Waterside Park is also listed within walking range.

The view comes in three tiers, not two

“Ocean view”, “partial sea view” and “no view” sit in the same list. They carry similar weight on a results page and very different windows. Nearly all the praise in reviews belongs to the ocean-view types — the bridge lit up at night, a high floor assigned at a late check-in, the weekend drone show watched from bed. If the view is the reason you are booking, read the whole room name.

There is a caveat about the glass itself: one review notes the ocean-view window was not especially clean, while accepting that as a condition of a seafront building.

The ondol room

One type has no bed. An ondol room is a traditional Korean floor-heated room where you sleep on bedding laid on the floor. It is unusual among the Gwangalli beachfront hotels, and worth a look if you would rather not have a toddler on a raised bed — or simply want to try it. The view tier for this type is not stated in its name, so check that separately.

Bringing children

Reviews describe using the outdoor pool and the sauna, and one notes that a gym day pass also covered the jjimjilbang, with workout clothes lent out if you brought shoes. Another recommends going up to the roof for the best view of the beach.

There is also a bar and banquet space — six event halls seating up to 300, per the property. Breakfast, where not included in the rate, is listed at 25,000 KRW for adults and 20,000 KRW for children.

What is missing, and what gets flagged

There is no washing machine. One review notes there is no washer in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel, which matters on a longer stay. Other recurring notes: a bidet that did not work, and housekeeping entering every morning even when not wanted.

Comments about the building age point the same direction. Reviews describe the rooms as not brand new but well maintained, with nothing uncomfortable about them. That is a fair reading of a 2007 property. Arriving expecting the finish of a recent build is where it goes wrong.

If room condition matters more, the comparison goes the other way — Homers dates from 2005 and trades on picture-window bridge views, Kent on a 15th-floor lobby and breakfast. What is uncommon here is having both in one building, 70m from the beach, with ages 4–12 staying free. For a family that wants to come in off the sand and finish the day in the sauna, the arithmetic works.
