Where to Stay in Da Nang — Beachfront or Walking Distance?
Da Nang splits into two kinds of stay: directly on the beach, and a short walk from the beach with easier access into the city. Their price ranges overlap, so listings look interchangeable — but they behave very differently once you are actually there.
If you plan to spend your days on the property, a beachfront resort with its own stretch of sand is the right call. If your evenings are in city restaurants and night markets, a walkable-to-the-beach property with quick city access wins. Pick the second and never leave the property and you will find the facilities thin; pick the first and commute daily and you will spend your trip in taxis.
How we choose the stays on this list
- Real distance and drive time to the airport (this matters more on short trips)
- Whether the beach is genuinely walkable, not just “nearby”
- Realistic room configurations for your party size
- Distance to the places you actually end up needing — pharmacy, convenience store
- Drawbacks that come up repeatedly in guest reviews
Worth knowing about Da Nang
The airport is close to the city. From most central properties it is roughly a 10–15 minute drive, which means arrival and departure days are still usable. On a two or three night trip that is significant.
Many properties use very similar room names. View, balcony and private-pool inclusion often differ by a single word, so read the full room name before booking.
